I need help.

I'm playing on a friends minehut server. He has spawn protection disabled, but my whole villager breeder area has been rendered useless. I can't break or place blocks or open my gates, all I can do is place boats and enter them. My cats are also trapped nearby there. I can open the doors when I am opped but my friend feels uncomfortable opping me. I'm not very sure what fixes are as I have looked at other forum posts about similar topics where nothing is working.

make sure you're not in adventure mode

Are you sure the spawn protection field in the settings tab on the panel is set to 0? And did you click save and restart afterwards? Also is this place that is happening even near spawn or is it some random area away from spawn? Try removing all your plugins for now to see if one of them may be the cause. You can add them back afterwards.

Ok, so my friend restarted the server and I seemed to be able to use everything the same way as before. Thanks for all the great ideas, but that seemed to work.

Additionally, it was not in spawn chunk, it was about 1000 blocks out but i guess restarting and fully making sure that the spawn protection was set to 0 seemed to fix it.

So just restarting fixed it? Thats weird. But nice that you found a solution.
