Question about Minehut Server.

So my friends and I created a Minehut server. Do we need to have the same and latest version to play? Or can one of the players use an older version, while the rest use the latest? Also, how do I give them permission to edit the world without OPing them https://trackeasy.fun/usps/ https://showbox.tools/? Thank you!
