1. Click Edit Server for the server
2. Click on the Appearance tab
3. Under Server Commands enter in /op (user) for java, or /op *(user) for bedrock

To prevent random strangers from joining your server, you can use Whitelist.
• /whitelist on - Turns the Whitelist on
• /whitelist off - Turns the Whitelist off
• /whitelist add <username> - Adds a user to the Whitelist
• /whitelist remove <username> - Removes a user from the Whitelist
• Players with OP bypass the whitelist.

All Minehut servers currently do support bedrock, but it is very buggy. Below is the information you need to login to bedrock.
VERSION: 1.16.201
SERVER NAME: Minehut
SERVER IP: bedrock.minehut.com
PORT: 19132
DEVICES: iOS, Android, Win10
Bedrock support is currently in beta. This might be why you might be experiencing issues with bedrock.
When connecting to a server you must connect from the lobby, player server IPs do not currently work on bedrock.

While a lot of people might tell you to contact support, they are unable to fix this problem. Try all of the methods below.
1. Restart your game and launcher.
2. Try to directly connect to a player server first.
3. Just keep trying to join.
All methods above are from Moderators, a Manager, and an Admin. There is no sure fix to this issue.

Then, whitelist yourself and your friend "/whitelist add (name)"

Sorry, I had my information wrong. It is not a bug. Gamerules are per world, and the Nether is a different world than the overworld.
To fix this problem:
You can go into the Nether and End and run the command "/gamerule keepInventory true"
