PermissionsEX no prefix

I have permissions ex and every time I make a rank and put a prefix using the correct usage it doesn't not work. This is really annoying me and i don't know what to do, I've tried everything. I have essentials chat and everything else needed. Please help.

I have the same issue. I also have the Vault plugin, but it does not work for me either.

As of the current back end and panel patch went through I lost prefixes and not sure if permission are working as well I have both vault and permissionsex and was working prior to the update

You need essentials chat (for essentials color coding) and Vault, easily mixed up with the skript addon & player vaults plugin.

I used UltimateChat 2 plugins instead since it works with Vault, PermisionsPex, the Essentials plugins and its addons. worked out of the box no configs to mess with unless you want  to do more with it then I did.  Glad I got it working now and happy to pass it on to others for the easy fix.
