Whole world has broken, mostly the Nether.

GoodyP

Question

A minehut server I'm on has broken. We were using it to test nether builds. I made a portal and left the nether and the game turned into a slideshow, due to lag. For some reason, there were several thousand zombified piglins in the nether portal. We killed them using to commands and got rid of the drops with commands, but now, we cannot re-enter the nether, there is significant lag, commands no longer work, and I am stuck in one chunk, and fall through the world if I leave it. Additionally, Zombie Piglins keep appearing from nowhere, even though the portal is gone. Does anyone have any possible solutions, as we really do not want to lose this world.

Thanks!

Unsure if someone might be playing a prank on you. Do you have command blocks turned on or does someone else have the permission to create skripts on your server?

I tried turning off command blocks, and unfortunately it has no effect. There's only a few of us on this world, and all of us are working on the big project, so I doubt any of us would break it. Thanks for the suggestion though

If the server keeps up a bit before crashing you could try setting the difficulty of the overworld and the nether to peaceful this should despawn all exisiting ones and prevent new ones from spawning in.

Hmm you could install multiverse-core and after the first start up use the worlds.yml to change the difficulty of both worlds in there.

Multiverse-core is a plugin that enables you to create new worlds but also quickly change settings and visit existing ones.

After your server started up with it installed it should in theory create a worlds.yml which contains all the settings of your current worlds.

In this file it is possible to change the difficulty and that could help because we don't have to connect to the server to change the per-world difficulty.

the difficulty is already peaceful, will that matter?

You mean in the dashboard right? Sadly the dashboard only acts for the overworld and not for the nether due to every world having a different difficulty but it should also mean that your overworld is piglin free is that right?
