I think i did something to lag my server and now it just times out

i upped my tick speed to test something and my server just froze now everytime i try to join it loads in all mobs are frozen then the connection times out. i have done a lot on that server and i dont want to delete the world is there any way to save it?

you can do /gamerule randomTickSpeed 3 in console but it is case sensitive so you won't have to delete your world

i tried that but it doesnt work my world still is frozen when i load back in and it times out

are you doing it while you're in the server?

Make sure to do /gamerule randomTickSpeed 3 in console while the server is online but no one join it. And it is case sensitive like King_of_Undead said.

yes im doing while the server is online with no one joined and with proper case and it isnt working

Go onto the server and do /gamerule randomTickSpeed. It should tell you the current value of it. Is it at 3? If so, try checking your server logs to see if it says anything there about it. Or you can do timings to see what may be causing the issue.

well the entire server is frozen so when i type commands into it i dont think they work because i get no output messages so i cant use commands to find out whats wrong. also what should i be looking for in the logs folder because i dont know.

If you don't know what to look for in the logs, you can send them here in a pastebin.com and I, or someone else, could look over them. But before you go check the logs, just do stuff on your server like commands, walk around, and other stuff.

i have walked around and tried to do stuff but i cant break blocks or hit mobsbut i can build and stuff anyway here is the pastebin

I don't see any plugin errors, might have missed some, so I don't think a plugin may be the cause. Try clicking repair files in the danger zone tab on the panel then restart your server. Maybe even hibernate the server for a while after clicking that button.

i was using a zombie piglin grinder and upped the tick speed to see if they would spawn faster then everything froze and ever since then everytime i log on its frozen and shuts down when i join

yeah i dont have any plugins installed it was just the base game but i will try that

alright i repaired files then left it hibernating over night and it has still done nothing. i dont know what to do at this point

Hey, the logs show that it's a world issue.

I've never encountered that issue before so unluckily I don't know how you could fix it without resetting the world
