Essentials Plugin help

i am starting a pvp server with my friend and neither one of us know how to change what the players who first join, spawn with. when they join for the first time they get stone items, instead i would like for them to spawn with an enchanted item that we make - does anyone know how to change and set this into place?

Hey charcharr. Through the essentials plugin config (minehut console > file manager > plugins > essentials > config) you can add or change the kit players start with. You must have essentials and essentials spawn to work it. 

In the config , scroll down to:

"  # Do we want to give users anything on first join? Set to '' to disable
  # This kit will be given regardless of cost and permissions, and will not trigger the kit delay.
  #kit: ''
  kit: tools"

And edit the kit you want the to have.

(You can create custom kits through essentials or a kit creator plugin.)

Addition to what Inadequately said, If you want them to spawn with custom items make a kit of what you want them to spawn with,

 

Then change the kit part in the config, Here is an example:

  kit: Example"
