How do you say a prefix?

Hi! So i was wondering how. Do i show a prefix. Do i need a plugin?

You can either set the chat format like:

set the chat format to "&7%player's prefix% %player%: &7%message%"

or like I usually do it cuz it enables way more possibilities:

on chat:
 cancel event
 send "%player's prefix% %player%: &7%message%" to all players

Your choice tbh.

Edit: For the prefix you usually need a perms plugin like Luckperms + Vault
