Server started lagging heavily despite no changes being made

Hi, so me and some friends have had this server for almost a year now, and it's been working with the small amount of plugins and datapacks for the entire time we've been using them. yesterday however, we started experiencing some extreme lag (items take forever to pick up, firework rockets last wayy longer than they should, chunks take forever to load, blocks won't break, etc.) with no clear reason why. I've removed some of the plugins, restarted the server multiple times, but nothing. It's not dependent on how many people are online either, the lag is the same even if you're on there by yourself. what could be causing this?

Try doing timings to see what may be causing lag. Timings show a bunch of data that can be used to figure out what may be causing it.
