Taking an item in a list

I'm trying to get an item from a list. I have this:

command /test <number>:
	trigger:
    	send %arg-1% of {questions::*} to player

this is just an example, but it's basically what I have. It doesn't work though, and I don't know how to make it work.

Are you trying to get like the 2nd element in the list when you do /test 2? 

command /test <integer>:
  	trigger:
  		send "%{questions::%arg-1%}%"

I haven't tested it but it has no errors and should theoretically work.
