World files should never be deleted. Possibly if Minehut ever did an inactive servers purge then servers not started in 6 months would maybe be cleared. That isn't the case though. It might have been some issue with saves. I recommend running the command /save-all every time before you leave the server. If you want to try to get the server back, make a support ticket and they can maybe help you, however I doubt it.
