Hostile mobs will not spawn

Hello we just started a survival server to play on and we noticed there are no hostile mobs spawning. We have tried every command  and setting to try to get them to spawn but to no avail. We have no plugins that are inhibiting the spawning. We have tried using spawn eggs as well but we only hear the sounds they make but no mob. Normal mobs such as pigs and sheep with spawn and we had one drowned spawn but nothing else. Is there anything else we can do to make them spawn? Thank you

Hey there,

You have to change your difficulty off of peaceful mode. You can do this by going to the settings tab on your server panel, then changing the difficulty from "Peaceful" to anything else. You need to click "Save" and restart your server.

We have it on normal right now and mobs are still not spawning. We get all of the bosses such as the mother guardian which we learned the hard way. We also get drowned but nothing else.
