Bold colour code will not make motd bold

In my motd I have &d&l(word) and have tried &l&d(word) and the bold letters will not show in the minehut server list but they will show in multiplayer tab when I put the ip for the server. Im not sure if i need a server plan but the bold motd wont work. Is there anyone who can fix this or help me

You shouldn't need a server plan to use colour codes, it might be a bug.

Try setting a MOTD without color codes, restart your server, then set one with color codes  

(Also, I don't believe you are able to use bold formatting for MOTD's!)

how can the top minehut servers set a bold colour code then. I will try what you said but I know it can be done cause others have it in the lobby
