Why can't I advertise?

Whenever, i'd try to advertise, it'd say that the server i'd like to advertise is offline, even when there is people on it. HELP??

The server you are advertising has to be online. And make sure you are typing in the server name exactly. Say the server name is "server". Do /ad server join this server. Make sure its the server name, not the server ip.

@_Tarna_thats the thing- its online AND im mentioning the exact name- it doesn't work with ANY of my servers

What is the command that you did that isn't working? Are you sure you are putting just the server name and not the whole ip. Because I've seen many people confused about the command and not putting the server name or putting in the ip instead.

I make sure that it's the exact name and such, and it still doesnt work it says server must be online, im on my 3rd mute from advertising wittout using  the ad command because i literally cANT

Use the command properly, /ad (servername) (message)
Example: /ad SmoothiFun Join for a 1.16 SMP!
