switch game mode

We made a survival server which is on easy mode, 3 of us are in easy survival mode but when 1 of my friends when in he was in creative mode. We have tried to restart the server and switch game mode to easy to make all four of us survival mode but it doesn't work.

Just tell him to op himself then do /gamemode survival in console. Then he can deop himself if he wants. To op someone, go to the console which can be found in the appearance tab on the panel under "Server Commands". There type /op <name> and /deop <name> afterwards to deop. Also you should whitelist the server if its private so no one else can join.
