Bedrock Crossplay Nonexsistent?

So, i was playing on my friends minehut server and my friend was able to join from their bedrock version of mc, and this was very recent. I made my own server and now no one can join it from bedrock? I cant find any solutions online, everythings outdated and nothings helping. All ive heard is that its java only which is obviously not true considering my friend was just on with bedrock. . . any help?

You can join on bedrock. However, the IP is different and there are quite a few bugs. This tag from the discord explains things quite well (join servers with /join [server], not with the [server].minehut.gg ip)

Hum, I keep getting Unable to connect when trying to connect to minehut from my son's Bedrock edition.

Let me doublecheck that I got the address and port correct.  It is correct but........  No connection keeps timing out.

There was a few crashes yesterday, something may have happened to it, but this sounds like a connection error on your end rather than minehuts?

from the Lobby, how do you join a server in the bedrock version?

You'd do the same as Java edition, you'd type "/join (server name)"

Then you're doing something wrong. Try copy and pasting the command i sent you but replace the "(Server name)" with the server you're trying to connect to's name

Hum.  No I don't think that was it.  I think somehow it actually didn't connect to Minehut.

We have actually been using minehut on Java no problem but I wanted to see if we could get it so other friends on Bedrock could join too.
