First, let's focus on the developing community of minehut (pseudo-developers in my opinion)

The text editor needs a major revamp. It's just a text box with a couple buttons on it. Perhaps give it some syntax coloring. Everyone knows you should download an external text editor to get your work done, but its very important to us developers. I should know, I've been skripting for a while. It's pretty important.

Make the file navigator faster. It sounds impossible because I'm sure you've done a lot of fine tuning to make it improved, but this is a huge problem. If I have to go to another page (say, the plugin installer page) I know I'll have to wait for all of the files to load in and whatnot as soon as I'm done with that. I keep on the file editing page about 90% of the time because it takes anywhere from 20 seconds to two minutes to get back. Even if it sounds impossible, you guys have managed to do this, I'm sure you can think of some way to fix it.

If you want to make a good server, the last thing you would think to go to is Minehut. That's for servers you want to experiment on, servers you want to test your skripts on for a little bit. You don't make a server there and stick to it for a while. It's hard to dedicate. You want to change that, right?

I agree, the text editor needs more improvements

Now I'll discuss the EULA issue.

About 90% of servers with a functioning buycraft store break the EULA in some way, shape or form. We want stricter moderation of these guidelines all across the network. You have a lot on your plate right now when it comes to managing the server, and I know that. It may not seem like a priority to you. But us as players did not come to minehut to be defeated by others because they have more money than us, isn't the point to not spend money at all to make a server? The people making p2w servers are downright abusing minehut to make a quick buck. I don't think that's the purpose of the platform. I'm not experienced with owning any major networks since they always seem to fail on Minehut at least, but I'm sure you can do a better job when it comes to the EULA violations. It's barely enforced by Mojang but do you think the people who don't pay money because they don't have any like that? No. They don't.

minehut does not enforce the eula, and minehut is only a server provider/host. I'm pretty sure moderators on minehut enforcing the eula will be overwhelmed with reports that a server broke the eula, and I'll say 80% of people reporting servers breaking eula doesn't even read the/know the eula.

    Server starting problems

Probably the most infuriating thing about my experience with minehut is how unreliable, slow and downright dysfunctional the panel is at times. Sometimes starting your server can put it in hibernation, some times the server wont go on from hibernation, sometimes the server can't stay on for 10 seconds before hibernation. It's a major company, hell they got sponsored by a movie studio. It makes your server look much lower quality than it actually is. Little things like this are big problems. I want a server, not a big button that says my server is loading.

Well, you can't expect a free server hosting to be A+ Standards. At peak times there is many players that is on minehut, either playing or creating servers. (ill say EDT time from 11am-7pm). be aware that SLG loses money by providing free servers

    A voting system.

I know this has been a very heavily suggested idea, and I'm open to edits and suggestions, but here's my stance: A server can get liked or disliked by users who fall within the purview of the following conditions for voting:

    - Has played the server for 5 minutes or more without being kicked or banned

    - Has played on minehut for three days

    - Has not voted for that server specifically before

    - Has not been continually giving negative/positive reviews to servers

wut??? A VOTING system? this feature can be abused, by getting alts online for 5 minutes and more, getting the alt to be afk for 3 days.\

There are some servers which break rules. People can dislike these servers and if the server gets an overwhelming amount of likes or dislikes, the staff will take notice. It can also democratize the selection of featured servers (I'm not sure if you're still doing that)

tbh, this is retarded idea, this is a free server hosting, where you can create whatever server you want for no price (freemium)

I'll get into some suggestions now:

    - A method of searching/sorting in the player menu (Sort alphabetically/Most liked/Most disliked/Most joins) + (Click a sign and you can search for a server name and it will limit the servers in the menu to any matches, as well as checking the MOTD)

    - Tags for your server, such as "KitPvP" or "Prison", etc. They display under the MOTD.

    agreed

this is based on my opinion

Regarding this suggestion it looks like the plugin supports 1.13 and lower. This means it would not be compatible with Minehut since the servers are now on 1.14.3.

I like the suggestion none the less and think it could offer more new game modes to people but we would have to wait on an update for the plugin to support 1.14.X.

If you have any questions feel free to pm me.

Some legacy plugins work on 1.14, such as permissionsex.

  3. Minehut may not add premium plugins w/ out the plugin author's permission, you might as well recreate it in skript.

This is a more technical update, but I'm sure some people will be interested in this 🙂

We're now running PaperSpigot again instead of regular Spigot. It's a "high performance" fork of Spigot (which is a high performance fork of Craftbukkit) that helps make servers run a bit more smoothly. You can check out their documentation at the link below.

    Upstream projecthttps://papermc.io/

    Our forkhttps://github.com/Minehut/Paper/tree/ver/1.14

The only change we made to Paper was to rotate log files. This means that once your logs/latest.log gets to 10mb, it will be compressed and renamed to log<timestamp>.tar.gz. There's a limit to 7 .gz files to be rotated out. Once you hit 8, the oldest will be deleted. This will prevent servers that spam logs from automatically hibernating.

This will also fix ProtocolSupportStuff not functioning correctly, as well as a few other plugins such as ProtocolLib that hook directly into PaperSpigot.

    cool

Well, I had an idea where you disguised two players as Trent and fling them across a void at each other. Whoever hits the other first wins.

Didn't really know how to make an arena for this, so it’s all yours if you want it.

Make a skript to launch players when standing on a block and first to be hit loses, then surround blocks with the void.

    i want legit ideas pls
