your connection to server encountered a problem

so i was playing on my server and i used world edit to set some water i think it was about 900.000 blocks. after i did that the server froze. when i try to connect now i get this message "your connection to server encountered a problem" any ideas on how to fix this.

Try just starting the server and leaving it online without joining to let the worldedit catch up. And join it after a while.
