My problem with Minehut and it's community & support.

Hello everyone.

I'm Parsa, a Minehut market maker.

Over the past few months I've had a few major problems with Minehut that I want to share with you, maybe you can help me improve this situation.

9 Months ago, I made a Market product that was an anti cheat and by the feedback it seems like it wasn't quite ready for release. After the product was released, I received feedback on my product which is actually good and I appreciate it, but there was also MAJOR toxicity and harassment towards me.

I am 16 years old and being attacked by 50+ people who are 18 or above and being bullied by them over a block game over 9 months is really hurting my mental health. I tried reporting them multiple times to the Minehut support and they have done nothing about it. The most they done was muting one of them for a week just to unmute them after 2 hours.

The 9 months of harassment and cyberbullying aside, I am also having issues with the discord.

Everytime, (I mean EVERYTIME) I try to say anything in chat (such as hello, how are you guys?, etc.) I got harassed by multiple people telling me to f off or calling me a scammer (because of my anti cheat product) and disrespecting me, and the funny thing is that the Minehut moderators do NOTHING about this. And when I try to defend myself and say I'm not a scammer and stop please, I am the one who gets muted for multiple days or even a week for "instigating arguments" even tho they were the ones being toxic to me.

I tried to appeal my punishments and Minehut support tells me my appeal is denied (doesn't provide a reason) and none of the mods answer my DMs. I am banned from MInehut Meta for 999 years for "instigating arguments".

I am currently muted on the main discord for a week because of sending trent memes in #random.

I feel you, not completely to the same extent, but as a Market Maker it feels like we're just a "product" when it comes to moderation. It feels as if we're not viewed as humans when it comes to the community and support/moderation. Whenever any harassment comes up towards a market maker, it's as if you're on your own.

Also, I appreciate you letting us know what happened to your account/s. I would def help if I can but our Support Team handles the appeals. 

If you can provide as much evidence to our Support Team, I know they will review your case as well as your reports. It might make you feel that punishments aren't made but I can assure you that we handle them accordingly.

I'm sorry if we can't help you here in Forums. I'll keep this post open so you can discuss your thoughts but as much as possible, please contact our Support Team if you need help with your punishments.

Ultimately, the value to the community that a producer provides should always be a function of the quality of the product. However, harassment is not okay. It’s okay to not like people, or not like their products, but it is most definitely not okay to engage in toxic attacks against individuals. 
 

In general, I find it very easy to believe the staff would mess up and mute the person defending themself. It’s also common in real life, to punish the defender and not the attacker usually inadvertently. 
 

I hope the staff do the right thing and crack down on the harassment and toxicity.
