azekll Posted November 23, 2021 Share Posted November 23, 2021 I'm playing on an SMP with my friends, and I don't want us to lose any of the progress we've made, but I also want us to be able to play in 1.18 when it comes out. How would I keep our world? I have backups saved, would I just have to restore those? Would the world be the same, we'd just have to explore new chunks? I've never played a world through a Minecraft update, so I don't even know what happens in a single player world. Please help. I need some sort of guaranteed solution for this. You will need to explore new chunks to see new caves and stuff. You might get new terrain below the bedrock in already generated chunks depending on certain conditions. Spigot, Fabric, and Vanilla server options currently are the only ones that have 1.18 server support.
