how to change difficulty?

hey guys, so i changed difficulty in minehut server settings on their website from easy to hard, but upon logging in the game i was still on easy difficulty. i knew this because villagers didnt turn into zombie villagers when killed by zombies and when i opened my settings it said easy and it was unchangable. does anyone know what to do? thanks

After changing the difficulty via the Server Dashboard make sure you hit save and restart your server! :))

Just do the command "/difficulty hard" should work
