we have a server that has no problem with lag or frame rate drops but when a certain person joins the server goes completely down.

is this due to something they're running in the background?

any help would be appreciated.

Can you upload your latest log that they joined the server

damn 😞

Most likely a corrupted chunk causes this when a particular player joins the server near the corrupted chunk.

What's the person's IGN?

Or... let's say your person's IGN is CoolProgrammer, then this is how I'd fix it:

Step 1

First off, I'll type in the link https://namemc.com/CoolProgrammer. After this, I'll find the UUID (unique identifier for each Minecraft account)752584914_ScreenShot2021-02-01at8_19_19PM.thumb.png.f125401a9f53857972afba37380e51c3.png

As you can see, my UUID is 9bbd2b0b-c152-4ee3-a4e3-ad3845f00ed9. I'll then note it down.

Step 2

I will go to File Manager and then look for my main world folder. In my case, my main world folder is named "world".

In-case you don't see a "world" folder, you can re-check what your level name is by going to Settings panel and then checking for this option:

So whatever is your level name, is your world folder name.

Open the folder, and then open /playerdata.

This is how it should look like:

You can see some files! Remember the UUID I noted down before? "9bbd2b0b-c152-4ee3-a4e3-ad3845f00ed9" that was my UUID.

You can also see a file named "9bbd2b0b-c152-4ee3-a4e3-ad3845f00ed9.dat"!

Delete that file.

Warning: This will reset the person's inventory contents, exp, etc.

And now the server won't crash.
