Server greifed

Hey so me and my friends joined this dead server which had not been used before and we have been playing on it for a few months now and its just been greifed by a hacker and we have no way to whitelist the server is it possible to somehow claim the server since it hasn't been used by the owners?

You need to whitelist the server with "/whitelist on" and then "/whitelist add (name)" Keep in mind any opped players can bypass

If you don't have access to the server panel (own it), or aren't OPed on the server, you can't whitelist it.
