help with mod

i am trying to upload a cavedweller mod to my server but i keep getting stuck at the uploading part, the mod is 1.19.3 and i have tried setting the server to it and uploading the file to the mod section in file manager. Do i need to extract the mod or change the server version? please help me.

Ensure that you are using the correct server software. If you are using paper / spigot / pufferfish / purpur make sure to change it to Forge / Fabric depending on what architecture the mod uses.
