What happened to minehut?

As the title says, im seriously wondering what went wrong with this server. I started playing around 2016 and every singoe server was unique and fun. I searched for 20 minutes today and couldnt find a single good unique server. Everything seems to be the same copy and paste server, over and over again. What went wrong? Ive heard that these servers are the current "trend", but does that mean theyre gonna go away, or atlwast stop being as oversaturated as they are?

Making a unique server takes times and is a lot of work. Most server owners prolly just grab some prebuild plugins/skripts and dump them on their server.
Checkout my server "1hour1life". It brings the main features of "One hour one life" to minecraft and is truly unique.

I'm not sure what happened, everything is the same nowadays but the only piece of gold shining through Minehut right now is a server called 2030 which looks.. futuristic in a way and has tons of custom mobs attack you at once so fighting them to survive is fun.

i make lots of unique servers but they never seem to get 1 single player to stay for 10 minutes

the copy and paste server owners probably experienced that so they decided to do what everyone else does
