Lost my server??? Help please!

I was on my server and I decided to whitelist it in case people might join. I whitelisted it, but then I forgot to make it so I wasn't on the list. It then said I wasn't on the list (obviously), so when I turned whitelist off, I lost my whole world and loot! I restarted the server to double check, and it was all gone! Help?

It's impossible that you lost your whole world and everything. If you rejoined, and your inventory was reset, then that's truly remarkable. All whitelisting does is make it so others can't join, even if you got kicked for not being on the whitelist, your playerdata wouldn't reset. If your inventory and world is reset completely, I'm bummed, but if you had your inventory, chances are your base is still out there somewhere. Try restoring a backup, if you have one.

I've had the exact same happen to me, the last backup is in the new world. I can't do anything?
