Can't join server (unknown host)

I can't join my server it says "unknown host" whenever i use the ip. but when i use minehut.com and type /join [server name] i can join it. but the problem is, i use xaero's minimap/worldmap so when i use a different IP it won't save my waypoints and Worldmap... pls help
