Farewell, Minehut.

Hi, I'm Alfoe you may or may not know me I've gone by many many names over the years. This is my farewell post as I am officially quitting Minehut.

I have played for Minehut for coming up on 7 years now (joindate Dec14/Jan15) and I have made countless friends enemies and memories over the past years, starting from just a kid to now, I am really grateful for everything Minehut and its community has done for me providing with so much joy over the years. My reasons for leaving are numerous but here are a few,

1. General downhill Minehut has taken, in my eyes Minehut has been getting worse and worse as the years go on, the light hearted server creation network I once knew has been turned into a super league money factory and seems to only exist to profit. This is also not helped by the removal of the volunteer staff team which, maybe a necessary change, removed just another aspect of community and fun from Minehut. 

2. The community on Minehut is one of the biggest reasons for my departure, for years Minehut has had a sort of half toxic half fun and light hearted community the whole time ive played but in the last year and half I feel the entire community has just been destroyed, censorship by Super League with everything becoming family friendly, seemingly everyone being offended by anything that is said and bogus allegations of horrible things have just driven me away from the community as a whole 

With that said there are still so many people I am extremely fond of in the community, far to many too name all of them here but i'll give a few shout outs at the end of this post. 

Although I have seemingly bashed Minehut a bunch in this post, there are still things I enjoy such as the improvements to the panel that have been made very recently such as custom plugin and server jar access, these were some of the reasons I was debating not leaving as I have  a vast array of hundreds of dollars worth of premium / custom plugins and server jars however wasn't enough to entice me to stay. 

Id just like to thank everyone for the last 6 and a half years especially to these:

Dragonet64 - Generally a great person so fun to speak to also got me into playing Stardew Valley so thank you
McThiccle2 - All around funnyman and #1 England hater, has some interesting profile pictures 
Trig - met through coincidence on another server but cool guy 
FrostedWeFall - my favourite roadman, very bad at releasing servers on time but good dude 
Emily (PandaChan) - Although we dont agree with alot of things, know for a very long time and is generally quite cool
Rusty - kinda fell out a while ago but your ight
Bassouli - mega mega good guy and I love your accent 
chillins - needs to stick to a name also ratios my tweets 
Orbity - Have not seen you in 3 years but you were a cool mod back in the day 
wooshed - again just needs to stick to a name but nice guy best mod and king of moving me into Staff 1

This is a tiny number of people that ive gotten to know over the years and are just the ones that sprung to mind in the 5mins i was writing this. 

but moral of the story, thank you and goodbye
