Help with LuckPerms and Essentials, adding permissions to roles

I've been trying to add the permission to /wild and do /kits to specific roles for a while now. I did the luck perm command to add essentials.kits and /wild but they still werent able to use the commands. I was wondering if someone could call or text me and work me through adding the commands to see whats up. Thanks so much

Giving players permissions in order to use commands is done by adding permissions to the "default" group in luck perms. To do this, do "/lp group default permission set <permission>"

For kit permissions, you require the permission "essentials.kit" as well as "essentials.kits.<kit name>", with the kit name specifying which kit you want the player allowed use of.

For "/wild", essentials doesn't have a command for this so I'm guessing this is another plugin. Try the permission "<plugin name>.wild"

omfg im an idiot. In order to test if the commands worked I simply deopped myself. I was never in the default group
