Specific Item dissapeared from inventory

A week ago my friend had said his axe had randomly eft his inventory and he couldn't find it anywhere. I just thought it was his forgetfulness until randomly my axe was removed from my inventory. I looked everywhere and even put items in my empty slots to see if it was invisible, but it was just gone. Can anyone help me and my friend with our axe losses, thanks.

Also I lost a riptide 3 book but that one is a bit iffy on whether it disappeared or I accidentally disenchanted it.
