Changing my Minehut World

So I recently started an SMP with a group of my friends however the world we are on seems to have no nearby structures. After about 40m of running around looking for structures we still couldn't find any and when I did /locate after we'd given up the nearest structures were over 3 thousand blocks away. I want to change the SMP world seed but I'm not sure if I will lose all of my inventory. Is there any way around this?

What you can try to do is stop the server, open the world data folder, and delete everything but the folder called "playerdata". Otherwise if you'd like you can install the Multiverse plugin, and make a new world with that.
