how do i turn off my monsters and animals :(

Hi! I have a problem. I want to prevent monsters and animals from spawning and appearing at all. I turned off the things in the settings, changed the bukkit.yml file, reset my server and they're still there. Can anyone please help me?

Actually I got rid of everything but slimes. The slimes are a huge problem can anyone hep me with those?? 😞

Run /gamerule doMobSpawning false to disable mobs. Then run /kill @e[type=!player] to kill the remaining mob.
