Having trouble joining my server

I hope this hasn't already been answered- I just cannot seem to find the answer if it has.

Here's what happens:
I activate the server and wait until it says "online". I then copy the IP address for the server and enter it into the "Direct Connect" tab in Minecraft. Every time I have done this, I am taken to the default minehut server. I have only ever been able to access one server- I do not remember what it's name was, but it was completely accidental and not mine.

Hopefully I have provided enough information for an answer, and if any more is needed I'd be happy to tell.

This usually means that the server isn't actually online.

Have you tried joining the server from the Lobby using /join <server> (example: /join test)

If there is any errors when you try and use /join, please post a screenshot with the error.
