If you need a replacement for this, then the HeadsPlus plugin is a good alternative. It is already on Minehut, and has a lot of customizable options.

Afaik Minehut does not support mods. If you want to use mods, you would have to use an alternate server hosting service.

Oh ok. The only problem with that is that there are other features in Essentials that I don't want on my server. Do you know how to disable them?

There is a very nice plugin for 1.16 called AFK+. It essentially allows you to display a message about whether or not you are AFK. I feel like this would be a good plugin to add for multiplayer survival servers, as I would find it useful to know which of my friends are actually active.
