I want to make a villager converting villager trading hall but the mode changing thing on the site is broken (its set on hardmode) and i cant op myself… can someone explain in detail how to op myself and do /difficulty or teach me in another way how to change it.

I have an smp with some friends but i have buildings and progress. Is it safe to update it to 1.17?
