setting online-mode to true

I'm having an issue with my server.properties file. Every time I change the online-mode setting to true while the server is offline and save the file, it reverts back to online-mode=false when I start the server again. I want to set it to true to avoid warnings, but it keeps changing back. What can I do to fix this?

I don't believe you can change this, as Minehut does not want cracked accounts to be able to join their servers.
The warnings are safe to ignore

Thank you for responding, and you're right. I tested it on a different server, and it completely broke the server when changed. So yeah, it can't be done. Do you think there's a way to remove the warning it gives?
