NoTolerance Posted February 6, 2022 Share Posted February 6, 2022 So I saw a server in MH (it’s called FreeeOp50 i think, join at your own risk) that apparently gives you OP if you join it, and so I joined it cause why not. Well… when I joined it gave me a message saying “Any functionality that requires custom resources might not work as excepted” followed by two options “Proceed” and “Disconnect”. I pressed proceed then saw this big title text saying something like“YOU GOT MALWARE, NICE IP” and promoting their discord server. Could it have possibly REALLY downloaded any malware on my PC? Or is it just a troll seeking attention? Anyways, I immediately went into the server texture packs folder in .minecraft and deleted everything there. Am I safe? Glad to know that you've deleted everything when this happened. Suspicious servers advertised by bot is not an ideal server so I suggest to not join them. Also, you can get a new IP by resetting your router. Use a website like https://whatismyipaddress.com/ to check if your IP address has changed. With that being said, I'll be closing this thread.
