World deleted?

2 months ago, i entered my friends server as always, but it was empty, i dont know what happened, we just tried to change the difficulty to hard and everything vanished into a new world. I dont know if this is a bug or msth but let me know if you know what happened.

Download multiverse and do /mvl to see if your world is still there. If it's not, load up a backup if possible and ingame execute "/difficulty hard"
