[My commands aren't working]

Hi, when I go on the console for my private server, if I enter commands it says they are all unknown (yes I know they are real commands)

for example /op (name) doesn't work can anyone help?

How do I op myself? the new thing doesn't seem to be working, it is console right? with all the commands? I was deoped on my server and it wont re op me when I enter the command, can someone help? thank you

hi umm the 1.17 snapshot has been updated yet I cannot get it on my server. I have checked the "server versions" tab but it only shows 1.16.15 , im not sure what to do? is there a way to get to 1.17 without restating my server? thanks!
