Broken join system

OK so I try and join my server and it is a pain because I just cant. If I join from my mc server list it just doesn't respond and then says 'disconnected' if I do /server of /join It just times out! Please help me I cant ever get on my server without a series of joins and disconnects.

How long has this been happening for? Can you send us the logs of whats happening? Can you actually get in? Can you provide a screenshot of what it says in the chat when you try to connect?

It's hard for us to help you when you've given barely anything for us to go off.
