A weird issue with enchanting

when i try to enchant an item at an anvil the game will crash. this only happens on items that have not been enchanted yet (if i enchant them at an enchantment table first it lets me use a book on them) and if i have an enchantment book that can be used on that item in my inventory (like if i have flame for example and try to enchant an armor piece it will let me but it will be useless, if i have anything that will actually do something such as protection even in my inventory after i place the piece on the anvil it crashes) . this does not happen on single player.
any ideas what this could be?

What version is your client? Maybe that. tbh idk but keep trying and never give up : )

This is most likely an error with your client version. Try upgrading and downgrading your version to see if the issue can be reproduced in other releases of Minecraft. Also, remember that you can't use any mods with custom enchantments, as Minehut does not support client modifications.

I don't have any mods, just like 4 plugins that i dont even use.
It might be the 1.15 then but I haven't tested it yet so i'll see if therres any difference back on 1.14

edit, I do not see older versions in the launcher anymore. did somethiing change that i am unaware of?

oh forgot about that plus thing, i thought it would of been automatic.
I can see if that works but if that is the issue will this issue automatically be fixed after minehut updates there stuff more?

 

etid. i just tested it and yeah it didnt crash on older versions only 1.15 and only on the server not single player.
you think this will be fixed as minehut updates the servers n such?
