When I try to join my friends server, it teleports me to a blank server that they aren't on

Question

ive had this issue multiple times where i would go to type in my friends server's address into the address bar in multiplayer followed by minehut.gg and it will bring me to a blank vanilla world. all my items and buildings are gone and im at completely different coordinates. meanwhile my friends are on the server. even after matching the coordinates up just to be sure, i confirmed im not in the same world as my friends are in. i have tried making it case sensitive, i had tried checking to see if i had any worlds of my own under the same name. i have tried reloading MC, deleting the minehut server from my list multiple times. Ive tried only typing minehut.gg and proceeding to type /join <servername> to no avail. the owner of the server forced whitelist and added my name and i still join the blank server under the same name every single time now. it used to be once in a while. but its been a couple days of joining this blank world. I even went as far as to reinstall MC to see if that would help. im completely out of ideas. maybe theres a blank server out there with the same name and i keep joining that. however, this issue only happens to me, none of my other friends have ever joined this blank server whilst trying to join the one that we've been playing on

Next time try doing /find <name> in the lobby to find the server your friend is on, and then clicking on the message. It should teleport you to that server.
