the villagers on a server i play on is not discounted for all players only the one that cured them, how do we fix that?

The villagers on a server i play on is not discounted for all players only the one that cured them, how do we fix that?
A player is currently curing villagers but its only on her screen that they are actually cured, is this a bug that can be fixed or do we all need to cure the villagers for it to work?
