I'm writing because one of my friends server got resetted and me and him don't know what to do anymore. 2 days ago the server mysteriously resetted and we found ourselves in a new Minecraft world/seed. In a blind panic my friend decided to use an old backup, which was 1 year old already. Because of that we were able to save a part of it, but most things are still missing, like builds and items that we collected during our gameplay. Is there a way to fix this and regain back most of our progress?
Thankfully my friend decided 2 months ago to download all of the files of the server like advancements, entities, player data, stats folder. Problem is that his computer wasn't strong enough to download the region files so he gave up on it.
