Changed my 1.17 server to 1.19 but nothing changed?

So I recently created a minehut server not realizing that it was already set to 1.17. It took me hours into playing that i realized I wasn’t seeing any cool caves or lush biomes etc. So I when I did realize it I changed it to 1.19. But the only thing that changed was the bedrock level. When I do /locate lush caves it just sends me to a regular cave. Do I need to make a new server or am I doing something wrong, pls help, and yes i am op’d if that has anything to do with something. Im not using mods either.

Chunks that have already been loaded won't update with the server. You'll have to explore some new chunks in your world to load the lush caves.
