I don't really know how to use this...

I am quite new to this forum so I don't really know if I am posting this in the right place but I had a error come up in this section of my code and I didn't really understand why, it said "The expression 'victim' can only be used in a damage, death, or projectile hit event"

Code: 

on damage:
	if lore of attacker's held item contains "&7Withering I":
		apply potion of wither to victim for 3 seconds
	if lore of attacker's held item contains "&7Withering II":
		apply potion of wither to victim for 5 seconds
	if lore of attacker's held item contains "&7Withering III":
		apply potion of wither to victim for 10 seconds

On testing this code, I see no errors and the logic works perfectly fine. I would suggest attaching the rest of your code as that may cause the issue.

Make sure you have the most updated version of Skript (link: https://github.com/SkriptLang/Skript/releases)

Thank you for your response and is greatly aprciated, even though it did not fix the issue (which I later have fixed by changing "victim" to "damaged") you did remind me to update my skript which would have caused further issues in my code. Thank you for your response on this comment and for your reminder to update my skript.

Looking back on my posts and comments, I noticed how much I sound like I am a car sales person and if you have any tips on sounding slightly more casual and still getting points across, it would be appreciated. Sorry for this maybe sounding very weird <= However, in the case that this tone is better for these forums, you can hopefuly inform me on it. Thank you for answering and if you are able to help or know anybody who are able to help with the EssentialsX Chat situation, I am having trouble pin-pointing what the issue is and insight into this would also be tremendously helpful. 

Edit 2:

Sorry about the second edit but I just ran into a issue with my skript were I am not able to perform any of the skript commands in-game and only able to perform said commands in the console, I did recently added a permissions plugin but even when I cleared all the permissions, I was still not able to perform any skript commands.

Hey, firstly, your issue with EssentialsX Chat, do you have the main EssentialsX plugin installed? I know this must sound kinda basic, but it is a mistake we all make, as we are all humans. If this is not the case while running your server, are there any errors in the console related to EssentialsX and EssentialsX Chat? Also, make sure you are using up-to-date versions of both plugins.

Secondly, for Skript, which permissions plugin did you add, and which skript add on plugins do you have, if any? Also, when you start the server or try to run a skript command, are there any errors related to skript or any skript addons?

Thirdly, I try to talk and act how I would in real life, which I believe is the best way to communicate on the internet.

Thank you for your feedback. First, yes, I do in fact have the EssentialsX plugin install (I just checked). Second, yes, I also have both plugins on the latest version. Third, because the plugin gets fixed automaticly at roughly 3:00PM, I have not been able to capture the exact moment that it was fixed and get any updates on the console and when I checked the consoles when the server starts there are no errors or warnings (at least not any that are related to the EssentialsX Chat/EssentialsX plugins). Forth, I used the LuckPerms and Vault plugins for permissions and Skellet and  SharpSK plugins for skript and so far there has not been any errors or warnings related to skript or skript addons. Fifth, thank you for your segestion on how to stear my tone when writting texts when texting or on these forums. Thank you for your feedback on these things.

Sorry, if I sounded a bit rude when writting this, I am still tring to grasp how to text (I felt like I sounded as if I was a 90 year old (not that I have anything against 90 year olds, just saying that it sounds like I am new to the internet while still being alive for a long time) <=).

I don't know what is causing your issue with EssentialsX, your best bet is to ask a different forum like admincraft (link: https://www.reddit.com/r/admincraft/), or see if you can find your issue on the GitHub of EssentialsX and if not add it as a issue (link: https://github.com/EssentialsX/Essentials/issues).

For your issue with Skript try removing all your skript addons and seeing if you can run commands then, if you can then add one addon back then see if you can run commands, repeat for all skript addons until you find the one causing the issue. If this is does not fix the issue, I honestly have no idea what caused it and I would try ask on skUnity forums (link: https://forums.skunity.com/forums/) or see if anyone else will help you here. I'm sorry that I haven't been that helpful.

Thank you for your advice on visiting the reddit (which I just created a new account for (I've been using reddit for a while without having a account)) and I am currently writting a post there right now and about the skript addon, I have check them tens if not hundreds of times and removed then added them back on and it still didn't bring me to fixing this issue. Seeing as this skript issue is not really a problem that I don't need to fix and I could just use the console for (even though it is not very conventional). Thank you once again to providing this information and helping me fix a lot of the issues I'm currently having on my server. 

P.S.

My crush (who is in the server) was actually quite impressed by the custom items and enchants I managed to make. <=

I felt like that was a bit too personal and thank you so much for helping me with my issues.

I was writting the post on the reddit and I just wanted to ask how do you tag the post as "help"? I just marked it as "discussion" but I don't really know if that is the right one to add.
