Server automatically updated to 1.17.1

I have a 1.17 and 1.16.5 server and both were automatically updated to 1.17.1. I am too scared to change the servers back to their original versions in case of corruption. This seems quite unfair to a lot of servers so hopefully there can be a way to get them back to their original versions

Your server version was probably on 1.16.5 (latest) instead of just 1.16.5. The latest part means that it will automatically update to the latest when Minehut adds it. And they recently set 1.17.1 to the latest version. If you haven't started the server yet, you can still change it to 1.16.5 and it should work fine. The issues only happen if you already started the server in 1.16.5. But you can still fix it even if you started it. Download your world and use the website chunker.app to convert your world back to 1.16.5. Then upload that world to the server and set it as the default world. Then it should start up fine.
