Adding Minehutt server mods

Recently I got the new email about mod packs/mods being added to minehut and iv been working with a couple of friends to figure this out. As you may figure, I failed and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Did I just miss understand the email or is this just something in the works? Or am I just flat out doing something wrong?

I figure I should also mention that I'm also very new to this server managing thing so Im still learning as I go. 

Any information would be useful.

First set your server type to spongeforge 1.12.2 in the appearance tab on the panel. Currently, 1.12.2 is the only version available for mods but they are doing to be adding more versions soon. Then restart the server. You also may need to reset the worlds/server in order for the server to startup because you can't downgrade server versions from 1.17 all the way down to 1.12.2 without issues. After doing that, a mods folder should generate. If not, just create it yourself. Then upload all the mods you want into that folder and restart the server again.

Also make sure you have the mods also installed on your client.

Perfect, I got it to work now, thank you for clarifying. They aren't very started friendly are they?

Ya running a modded server can be difficult for new people because of all the things you have to do to get it setup and stuff.
