My question was about rule #15 stated on the forums in https://forums.minehut.com/rules/ The rule states. "You are not allowed to reward players for advertising your server within Minehut’s chat channels, including lobby chat." I am curious on if this implies like an advertiser rank? Like AdRewards, as advertising a certain amount of times, clearly shows the staff that you feel the server is one that you like. Rewarding players for such actions shouldn't be against TOS as the server gets free advertisement, so the players should receive something as well? To be honest I believe a lot of players would also agree with me. The reason I am bringing this up is, I recently had a rank removed from me on a server I was advertising for, and someone threatened to report the server for violating TOS. I will not be stating the server as they are no longer violating rule #15 stated above. If the rank has no benefits then I suppose it might be allowed although it still is technically rewarding the player. I think this is still violating the rule although a staff member might need to correct me. I so too have a question about this rule. Is paying people to advertise against the rules? As the rule states 'not allowed to reward players' this means you are allowed to reward people who aren't players of your server. I believe this is smart because it allows people to still be paid to advertise well also eliminating spam in lobbies from ad rewards. Although once again a staff member might need to correct me. Hello there SkripterMan, thank you for your feedback! It surely is great to see the community alive and swell! The rank that was removed had no benefits other than a colored chat, no permissions no extra items, no benefits other than standing out in the chat. Your question has also crossed my mind a few times so I would love more feedback from the staff of Minehut as it's a interesting topic! I'm pretty sure they removed it due to chat flood. Imagine multiple users advertising the same server every few minutes... now imagine this happening for 30 different server. The chat began to become chaotic so they decided to make a rule against it. I somewhat agree with you, but what I don't get is they give the highest rank a really low cooldown on advertising, so most of the time you only see the same person advertising for the same server, and most of the time they are getting paid for it.
