How do I make only friends be able to join my server?

I was playing with 3/4 friends and then a couple of randoms joined our server. I kicked them but is there a way to prevent this?

You can use the command "/whitelist on" to enable the whitelist which will only give users you grant access to the ability to join the server. To add a player to this list, use "/whitelist add (username)"
